My Idol? "Einstein"
Einstein Albert Einstein (pronounced /ˈælbərt ˈaɪnstaɪn/; German: ˈalbɐt ˈaɪ̯nʃtaɪ̯n ; 14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist. He is best known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass–energy equivalence, expressed by the equation E = mc2. Einstein received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect."[1]

Four keys to business intelligence success
Keys to business intelligence success
Last week, Jay Rollins asked if the fault for a failed business intelligence implementation should lie at the feet of the CIO. Obviously, BI encompasses a wide array of services. In this post, Scott Lowe provides his take on the “BI failure fault” question and briefly describes Westminster College’s modest BI efforts. —————————————————————————————————-

The Ultimate Programming Langauge
The Ultimate Programming Langauge
Tags: it management, linux, networking, programming

I am indeed puzzled by the myriad of programming languages we have before us in the 21st century, are we all confused? Or are we really looking for a better way to get results or just touting our products as being the best alternative to another.

I was just mastering C++, then came Java and then the improvements to Java in its various editions.

What is the difference between scripting languages and common languages like,
Python, Perl, Delhpi, PHP Ajax.., in fact web developers really have it going for them now.

Then came Microsoft with Power builder, VB ....VB.net .... C#,j# and now F#.

Can anyone tell me what truly is the definition of robustness, functional, scalable, modular, ease-of -use language for today.

Adobe's Dreamweaver CS4
Adobe's Dreamweaver CS4
College Level - Web Development - Tool

The Good
Adobe now known for their great products such as; Photoshop and Illustrator have streamlined Dreamweaver's interface to match and integrate with all of their CS4 applications; customizable workspace includes collapsible tool panels; new coding views.

The Bad
Dreamweaver CS4 is too complex and costly for those making lightweight Web designs; continues to add unwanted code to Web pages; price prohibitive for bootstrapping designers. The Bottom Line: Best for coding and design pros, Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 is perhaps the sharpest, swiftest tool for developing and editing dynamic Web sites.ZDNet

Report: Hackers broke into FAA air traffic control systems
Report: Hackers broke into FAA May 7, 2009 3:59 PM PDT
by Elinor Mills

Hackers have broken into the air traffic control mission-support systems of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration several times in recent years, according to an Inspector General report sent to the FAA this week.

In February, hackers compromised an FAA public-facing computer and used it to gain access to personally identifiable information, such as Social Security numbers, on 48,000 current and former FAA employees, the report said.

Last year, hackers took control of FAA critical network servers and could have shut them down, which would have seriously disrupted the agency's mission-support network, the report said. Hackers took over FAA computers in Alaska, becoming "insiders," according to the report dated Monday.

Wolfram likened his effort to reproducing a global reference library and said Wolfram/Alpha will launch in “a few weeks.”

Microsoft Leaks Windows 7 RC Date — Before May 5
Microsoft Leaks Windows 7 RC Posted by timothy on Saturday April 18, @07:58PM
from the don't-tell-anybody-it's-a-secret dept.

CWmike writes "Microsoft will deliver a release candidate of Windows 7 in about two weeks, the company's Web site revealed Saturday. According to a page posted on Microsoft's partner program site, Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) may be available to paying subscribers to Microsoft's developer and IT services before May 5. Partners will be allowed to download the release candidate on that date, the first Tuesday of the month. 'Partners: If you have a subscription to MSDN or TechNet, you can download Windows 7 RC now,' the page read Saturday afternoon. 'Otherwise, you can download Windows 7 RC starting May 5, 2009.' The link to the download, however, shunted users to the TechNet download page, which did not list Windows 7 RC as one of the available files. This is the second time in just over three weeks that Microsoft's Web site has leaked information about Windows 7 RC. Accidental, or buzz-builder?"
